My name is Leo Finkelstein and I am the President and Founder of Price Builders Inc.  After more than 14 years in business, I am proud to present myself, my company and my carefully hand-picked team of employees and subcontractors that get the job done right and keep the customer happy.

Price Builders was founded in March 1993 to provide a reliable, efficient, and professional general contracting service to the San Diego community.  Combining my Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with my extensive experience working as a superintendent and project manager at various construction companies over the course of 17 years, I dedicated myself and my company to maintaining the highest standards of quality and satisfaction.

The numbers speak for themselves: we have more than 350 successfully completed projects and over 70% of our business comes from referrals and repeat customers.  We understand how important your home is to your livelihood, so we take every precaution to make your remodeling experience as smooth and comfortable as possible.  For that reason, I personally supervise every project and make sure the project is built per industry standard, in compliance with all building codes, on time and most importantly, on budget. 

Albert  Weiss – Sales Manager

After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree from NYU, Albert joined the construction industry in 1953 as a manager of a engineering firm branch.  Soon he got his own contractor’s license splitting his time between working in the field swinging the hammer during the day and selling the jobs he was working on in the evenings.  After many years working as a salesman and sales manager, Albert joined Price Builders 7 years ago and has signed and seen close to 200 jobs to completion.  After 55 years in the industry, Albert learned something important: “My greatest talent is listening,” he asserts, “I hear what the customer wants and help them shape it to their budget.”  Albert is present throughout the entire building process, from the moment he draws the preliminary plans to the final meeting after the job is done.  Albert’s greatest satisfaction comes in knowing that he can return to any past job, get a hug and grab coffee with the owner.  Now that is a referral.    

Jim Jarcki - Superintendent

Jim joined Price Builders at the company’s inception in 1993 as the lead carpenter and through hard work and dedication to his customers became promoted to superintendent.  Jim has worked in the construction industry for 30 years with more than half of that with Price Builders, and has participated in and mastered all aspects of a job from start to finish.  Considerate and responsible, Jim is in constant communication with the customers about the next step and how best to prepare for it.  In the past, customers have written about Jim’s very likeable personality, how easy it is to work with him, and his fast and efficient management style.  Jim understands that behind every project stand people whose needs and comforts must be considered.  Like all Price Builders employees, Jim maintains the highest standards of customer satisfaction and building excellence.

Jerry McNeely – Superintendent

Also starting as a lead carpenter, Jerry has been working for Price Builders for more than a decade.  His close to 40 years of experience in the construction industry have helped him immensely in his dual role as lead carpenter and superintendent and every customer that has worked with Jerry has nothing but the kindest words for him.  In more than 10 years at Price Builders, not a single complaint was filed against Jerry.  Instead, customers praise him for his clean, efficient workplace, his great sense of humor, and his remarkable work ethic.  “He was polite, considerate, and very knowledgeable no matter what I asked him,” writes one customer. “Jerry was very reliable and always listened to my concerns or questions.  He and Price Builders were just a pleasure to work with.”

Agapito Luna – Concrete Foreman

Luna came on board Price Builders in 2000 and delivers only the best expertise in concrete and foundations.  Bringing more than 25 years of construction experience to the table, Luna is most dedicated to customer service, prompt and timely completion of his team tasks, and insuring smooth integration between framers and superintendents to make the job progress quickly and efficiently.  Nothing bothers Luna more than a dirty and unprofessional job -- that’s why he’s stuck with Price Builders for so long.
